A couple years ago, on my birthday, my sister got me this gorgeous decorative candle holder shaped like a tree. The gold, the branches, the birds - I adored it immediately!.....Just not as a candle holder.

Found this ornament last Christmas and had to have it for my tree - adds just the right bit of whimsy
Instead I saw huge potential for it to be the perfect stand for my necklaces, my own Tree of Jewels.

Next time you are looking at home accessories, try to envision items being used for something other than what they are originally intended. You just might be surprised at the great ideas you come up with.
